The Lady Hawthorn

Rose-laden summer eve,
Stars drive out care.
The Lady is dancing
In green robes so fair.

The Wild, as She passed by
On shining steed white,
Sparkled and sang
As She rode through the night.

Green Man grew a lovesong
To call to his Muse,
Displaying His passion
In all earth's green hues.

For love of the Green
As a tree She's reborn.
To keep safe Her secrets
The guardian Thorn.

Meadowlands serenade Her,
Music weeps in the air.
She's a vision of playfulness,
Stars in Her hair.
